How would you quilt a baby quilt?

I have a crib size quilt and am stumped as to how to quilt it, I need a simple easy way I have a sewing machine? tia

It depends a bit on the kind of batting you have. Read the instructions and find out how closely it needs to be quilted. If it can be quilted a fair distance apart (6-10 inches) then you could quilt straight lines in the seams joining the blocks. If it needs to be quilted every 2-3 inches or if it is a panel quilt instead of a block quilt, then a simple grid is probably your best bet. Start by finding the center in both directions and mark those lines using a special pencil or marker that washes out. Make sure it will come out before you use it - some will set permanently if you iron it, some require water to remove, others fade on their own. If you have a walking foot, use it because it will help keep the layers in place. Sew along the marked lines. You might have a tool for your machine that looks like a distorted L shaped piece of heavy wire. This is a guide that fits behind the foot and helps you sew straight, evenly distributed lines. You sew your first line, then move the quilt so the L touches the previously sewn line and sew the next line, keeping the L in the previous seam. If you don't have this guide, measure and draw all of the lines you want to sew. Always start from the center and work out.

Usually you just sew the squares together and then  my mom always picks a fun pattern to sew it to the bottom part or you can do straight lines

I usually make a Tied quilt, they are fast and easy. I never learned to sew or anything And even I can tie a quilt. good luck

use old soft Sarees, or old dresses of flares(u could use the material from waist to bottom) do two or four fold and sew parallel lines leaving space, then cross lines.that is it makes a criss cross design with the sewn thread,  it makes a nice quilt.
