  2. well i didnt watch the whole thing but i rele liked the 2000 durmmers.... and the parade of nations... i always like seeing the ppl 4rm other countries

i didnt rele like how long it took 2 light the torch thingy.... he seemed 2 b "running" 4ever... but it was rele cool all the same

  3. 10. it was awesome i loved the torch part where the man looked like he was walking on air. AWESOME!!!

  4. I liked the whole thing....very special.

    I'll give it a perfect 10.

  5. how exactly does THIS help the future ceremony??????? are you on the olympics ceremony committee but it was beautiful i'll give it a perfect 10

  6. it was really overdone and a huge waste of money when you consider all the starving Chinese earthquake victims, one fireworks cost like 30,000 dollars and they set off thousands

  7. I would give it a 9.99

it was awesome, but a little long for me.

What i like most was the chance to see China's culture. and all the fireworks!!!! Music is relative to everyone, and the drums in the beginning were amazing.

  8. All opening ceremonies have been marvellous

  9. 10+!!!!

  10. 7. it wasn't that great. GO CHINESE DUDE GOOOOO! lol :-)

  11. couple 10's the lights and fierworks amazing

  12. I give the ceremony an 11.  10 points b/c it was so good and bonus point for not having any Disney characters.

  13. 9 out of 10

i did not really understand what message they were trying to get through.

  14. 10 of 10 CHINA'S MARVELOUS

  15. I thought it was breathtaking!  Absolutely a work of art!  I'd say a 10.

    What I liked most:

    - The drummers in the beginning

    - The cubes going up and down making the symbols and waves during the 'paper' portion of the presentation

    - The led screen(s) on the floor of the area

    What I liked least:

When the athletes come into the stadium -- It was interesting, but too long.

  16. 20. When all eyes were on China it was China's symbolic statement that they have officially come out of the dark ages of Mao and are now a significant mighty world super power of the future. They are once again the great China that they were in the past.

  17. it was really good 9.5 but china doesnt deserve it tbh with there human rights!

  18. I thought it was overdone (the man on cables "running" around the Bird nest carrying the torch, just to light the torch) but the music and lights were all well done.

I always enjoy seeing peoples of all nations come together, and to see the pride in their faces.

China has come a long way in the past 30 years, but often at the expense of its own peoples.

As for me, I'd be happier with more simpler ceremonies, to keep in the Olympic spirit.  The IOC really has gone overboard in its spending because it can.

  19. 9.8-10

    it blew me away

the only thing I didn't like was that during the parade of nations they played the same few songs over and over again...but other then that it was spectacular.

this is the best opening ceremony that i remember (although I'm only 15, so, that isn't that big of a deal)

my favorite part was when the judo master formed all the circles around the school kids and did a routine in perfect synchronization while staying in those perfect circles...that blew me away

  20. 13.7

    Totally BOoM!

  21. Perfect 10.. the choreography and production are just spectacular.. i watched the olympics as far as i can remember and really, you need China to pull that one off... LA, Seoul, Atlanta, Sydney have nothing to say... China married technology and the ancient in her opening ceremony.. Truly, man's genius and artistry is impeccable...

  22. 7 out of 10....

  23. 12 out of ten. Seriously, it was absolutelyl the best. Well done the people of China.

BTW : The response to the eathquake was better than anyone else has managed.

BTW 2 : A cruise missile costs 20 million dollars. The Chinese have used exactly none so far so I think they can spend a few dollars on fireworks.

  24. I would give it a 10

  25. 10 i liked it bc of alot  of resons but i didnt like that it showed off so much

  26. It was AMAZING! Definitely a 10!

    I ♥ Phelps

  27. i missed it :'(

  28. 10+. It was awe inspiring.  I loved the total coordination, especially involving the drums and martial arts.  The least I liked was the common theme repeated of children and army.  I understand the origins and importance, but to me it is a little scary, to think of life in that context.

  29. I think it was a ten!

I loved how they used technology to enhance everything!

But, what amazed me the most was when they made those wave things, and it was really people doing it when it looked like technology moved those block things to make waves.

I just wish it went in alphabetical order, not how many storkes it would take in the chinese alphabet.

    Overall, it was amazing!

  30. 10! :]

    It was perfect! ^_^
