  1. I am in Canada and the home depot we have in our city of Peterborough is the best one can get. I would rate it a 4.5/5. Although they could improve by increasing locations. With the Gas price going up who would drive from south part of the city to the North part of it

  2. Honestly, I may have a somewhat biased opinion because I worked for the Home Depot, but unfortunately, I think their business could be a lot better. Customer service, I would say, is the main thing they need to work on and I dunno if it was just the store I worked at or not, but they need to learn employee appreciation also. As an employee, I had to put up with a lot of c**p because management basically ignored the needs of the employee and the customer. I assume because it is a large warehouse store that maybe it's harder to keep track of all your employees, but they really need to figure something out because anytime we (I was a cashier) needed help from people on the sales floor (whether for back-up cashiers or just pricing an item), an associate from the department was usually nowhere to be found. This would cause the customers to get upset (as if they usually weren't already because no one was in the department they needed help in), which, in turn would make the cashiers upset because that's usually who the customers take out all their anger on. As a cashier, there was also several times that I was left as the only cashier open, with a line down the building , and although the supervisors were calling for back-up cashiers, they wouldn't even step in to help the customers themselves. Honestly, this could have been just a really bad location to work at (to give you an idea of where - South Bay area, California), but I have had similar experiences as a customer at other stores on the area - not having anyone to help me find a product or find the price for a product (which can be another pain) and having to wait in huge lines. Basically, from my experience, the supervisors and managers need to step up and take care of business when customers or even employees need help, and also they need to know where all their employees are so that they can call on them to assist the customers that need it. Overall, I would rate the customer service as pretty bad, but the products and prices, I would say, are great.
