  1. wow, this is why people get migrains.

  2. I would say it can do just about anything you'd want it to, it might not run games on maximum settings, but it should run anything out there right now. With 4 gigs memory you can run as many applications and browsers as you want within reason and it will not slow down. It might slow if youve got a few 3D apps running, like video editing and games running at the same time, but nobody does that anyway.

  3. hmm, decent configuration, but you skimped on the graphics card. Id  get either an nvidia geforce 8800 or an ATI radeon 4850 (they tested them, and the radeon performed slightly better, except for a performance drop in unreal tournament 3)

  4. To be technical, every computer is equal. Basically all computers can do the same things. As this is why it's called a CPU. But the main point is "how fast" not "how many" .

Anyway, as for the rig you listed.

    Processor : Core2Duo@3.6Ghz

If you do have the money to get this, then ok. But most Core2Duo are so overclockable it's almost a shame to spend this much money. When you can buy a cheaper model and overclock it to this speed.

    RAM : 4GB DDR2 RAM = Standard

Audio : Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 SE = Standard, however if you're just using an headset/earphone for this and not a 5.1 surround speaker setup, it will be a waste.

Graphics Card : GeForce 8600GTS. = UGH. Change this. As even the Radeon 3850 can be as much as three times faster than this video card. If you will use this card. It's like using a trucks engine on a Volkswagen Beetle. A waste of processing power.

  5. I would switch your OS from Xp to Vista Home Premium 64-Bit or Ultimate 64-Bit. Much more compatable, reliable, and much more safe than XP.

  6. Very good for home gaming but not top. What's the price?

  7. What are you building this computer to do? You ask about multiple processes but don't say what they are.

  8. WOW super configuration ,Quad core processor with all these things will do good .

  9. thats a nice PC but if i were i would get an 8800 GTX or GT or a 9800 GTX or GX2. 8600 GTS is a good gfx card but i would get a newer card for the future. my PC is almost the same and i have a 9800 GTX installed
