How would you react if you found out one of your family members or friends is attracted to children?

What if you find out that one of your family members or friends is attracted to children whether it is boys, girls, or both? How about family members who are attracted to boys, girls, or both did not have any sexual relations with a child. How would you react if you found out one of your family members who is an adult had a sexual relationship with the child even if the child enjoyed the sexual relationship?

How does a child "enjoy" a sexual relationship?  That's not possible...and adults aren't attracted to children...it's a deep seeded sickness, not an attraction.

First question: I would be grossed out and hope to god that the family member likes the child as a child, a son, a daughter.

Second question: I would tell the family member/friend that it is wrong to be attracted to children. Their feelings would lead to more dangerous things that could hurt both them and the child.

Third question: I'd confront the family member/friend and tell them that they are out of their mind and are sick to the core. I'd report the situation to the other members of my family, so they can keep the child away. Then, from there they can help handle the sick mind of this s*x offender. Even if the child "enjoyed" the sexual relationship, that does not make it legal.

I hope to god you are not talking about yourself.

For the last question - about actually having sexual relationship - I'd go to the refrigerator.  I believe I have a magnet with all the authority numbers on it.  And also by the fridge is the phone book - and in the phone book are numbers for psychologists.

A child is unable to enjoy a sexual relationship. If it is something they feel and don't act on then so be it but if they ever try to act out their desires I would be the first to call the cops.. to come clean up the bloody mess.

Tell them what they're doing could result in legal issues, then leave it... It's up to that person to decide what he/she will do, unless your the mother, you don't really have much of a say. I guess it's pretty ignorant, but everyone is attracted to different sexes, people...

Children don't like "sexual" relationships, they do whatever to get attention if his or her parents didn't show them enough love or the parents were careless in who they told their children to trust.

They need to be reported. There is no cure for a pedophile. Some kids don't report it because they enjoy it and don't want their parents to find out.  It is still wrong.  It will affect the child forever and they may become a pedophile themselves some day.  Some kids don't report it because they are afraid and think nobody will believe them.  It is a very difficult situation that needs to be resolved permanently.

1 what do you mean by "child" if he or she is not legal ad has had s*x with the adult tell the parents and let them take it from there. just because the child is enjoying it , it does not mean that the act is right.

2  Do not react too harshly if nothing has happened yet. Try to help them and get them to understand that this attraction that they have can have serious repercussions. because the person will shrink away from you , not listen to what you have to say and might do some thing rash. get them some help before it's too late

It very well depends on the age of the child; if the child is a teenager then I would not be as ferociously angry and disappointed; however, I would still be both furious and disappointed. If the child was under teenage years (under 13) then I would be even more furious and disappointed.

Either way, I would report the person, no matter how close they are to me, to the authorities. No one has a right to be sexually involved with a child, even if the child is enjoying the relationship.

Also, it is okay for the adult to be attracted to a child, but it is definitely wrong and evil to act out on this attraction. As long as they keep these feelings to themselves, then I have no real problem with it.
