i have a 16x20 painting on a canvas that i want to hang up in my room, however, it isn't a thick canvas that you can hang onto a nail, it's a very thin one with a completely flat back. the brand is Lyons. how do you think i should hang this up? i don't want to tape it, but i dont want to stick pins through it either. what other ways are their?

  1. Decide where you want the canvas to hang.

Determine the position of the bottom of the canvas.

Place two small brads at opposite ends of a level line, less than the width of the canvas.

Set the canvas on the brads and while holding the canvas against the wall, tap two brads into the wall snugly at the top of the canvas.

    Your canvas is hung.

  2. there are clips that s***w or nail into the wall and hold the picture secure. you wont need to put holes in the picture

  3. I assume its one of those canvases over cardboard. I'd get an inexpensive frame to put it in and then hang it in the normal fashion. You could also get what is called a "foamboard hanger". Google it.

  4. Check my source link, there are many options you might consider.  Otherwise, a trip to your local hardware store for some hands-on advice might be a good idea (bring the canvas too!).

  5. I would suggest that you put it in a glass frame. If you can't find one big enough then go to a place that can make one for you. That way you are displaying it and protecting it from dust and smudges too.
