I heard some kids telling a new boy not to talk with another child because she talks funny. How would you have addressed this?

  1. I would focus on the positive instead of saying "don't do that". Use the opportunity to have a class activity where everyone comes up with one thing that is different about themselves. You then make the point to discuss how these differences make us all special and how boring it would be if we all looked the same or talked the same etc.

  2. tell them that's its not good to dis include some one for a way that is not the same as them for everyone is unique in there own way.  and how would they feel if some one does the same to them for a thing that they do that is odd to some one else.

  3. I would say we shouldnt talk like that to our friends everyone is different in thier own ways.

  4. Tell those kids that they're funny looking and smell too.

  5. thats not fair! tell them made up stuff like shes a princess and she is magic and she can hear what u are saying

  6. 1) All of you should play fairly and politly

    2) Treat everyone just the same

    3) Even if you don't like someone, just say hi or hello and play with them every once in a while

(thats what my preschool teacher told us) :)

  7. Take the kids aside and tell them that is not the way things work, you do not pick on someone or avoid them because they talk funny.  Tell them that will not be tolerated and if you hear that kind of stuff again there will be punishment.

  8. tell him that everyone is different and that he is being mean. Tell him to try to talk with the person.
