In a command form:

"Ponle el seguro a la puerta!"   Lock the door

"Quítale el seguro a la puerta"  Unlock the door

Well there are a variety of ways to say it, unlike english there is no way to express the action of "locking" in the same way. A close translation would be the closing, and opening of a door at least in castillian/standard Spanish. In the mexican as well as some other dialect they would likely use the verb "asegurar," "meaning to secure."

Two verbs are used: cerrar "to close," and abrir "to open."

For Locking:

Polite way of saying to somebody you don't know ,

"Usted por favor cierra la puerta," meaning "Sir/Madam please close the door."

Person you do know,

"Cierras la puerta por favor," meaning "Can you close the door please."

And to command somebody,

"Cierre la puerta por favor," meaning "Please close the door"

For Unlocking:

Polite way of saying to somebody you don't know ,

"Usted por favor abre la puerta," meaning "Sir/Madam please open the door."

Person you do know,

"Abres la puerta por favor," meaning "Can you open the door please."

And to command somebody,

"Abre la puerta por favor," meaning "Please open the door"

Unlock the door: Quitarle el seguro a la puerta

That's infinitive...you gotta conjugate it according to the phrase...

In Mexico is 'Cierra (cierre*) la puerta con seguro' and 'Quita (quite*) el seguro de la puerta or quitale (quitele*) el seguro a la puerta' (*formal).
