Whether it's good or bad, what would you say that ho chi minh's impact is on a teenager studying him in shool? Did he do good for the United States or any other country? What sort of impact could he have on someone's life?

His lies is studied like the bible in VN.  Those who buy in to them are brain washed.  His impacts were mostly negative unless you are communist China and former USSR.  "Don't listen to communist propagandas just look at their treacherous actions" quoted Nguyen Van Thieu

Ho Chi Minh, the name of a person who I have never met, yet has had so much impact on my life. Because of him bringing communism into Vietnam, my father had to join the South Vietnamese military and forced to abandon his hopes and dreams of becoming a doctor. It's because of him that my father lost the men who fought bravely by his side. And it's because of him that on April 30, 1975, Saigon was overtaken by communist forces where it would lose its name by that very man. And after that, my father spent 5 years of his life in a political prison in which they attempted to "brainwash" him into a communist, which never worked.

I guess so far, most of the things I associated with that name were all negatives. The only one positive thing I guess that came from that is that I am living a better, and more fortunate life in the United States today with my family where the values of freedom and human rights actually exist.
