MY DILEMNA_______

We are having a party for my parents my mom has 5 siblings and my dad13 so put them together and that is 36 plus us is 66 plus friends of the family which comes out to about 80 we don't have a lot of money so I suggested that we just invite the above to dinner and then have cocktails and snacks like an open house afterwards. How do you send an invitation inviting the couples but not their kids? Most have kids that are grown and could come later but a handful have kids that still live at home. How do we go about this? Of course the grandkids would be attending the dinner with us.

  1. I always get or se invites that say adults only!!

    Or no children please!!

  2. that's a tough one -but word it just like you did here with honestly ,adults only has been written on several invites I've received and it never offended me!

  3. If the grandkids are coming to the dinner, it's a little hard to not include them in the party afterwards.  How would the parents get them home to a babysitter?  You might have to hire a babysitter for the little ones, at your house... or just say that all of the activities are Adults Only, Please...    To save a little money, consider an alcoholic punch, wine & beer, instead of cocktails.  Hard liquor costs alot more:)
