How would you take over the world?

Control all of the main resources (food, energy, water, etc) all over the world and charge an arm and a leg for it to make myself rich at the same time while brainwashing the people with things in the media such as sports, fashion, interracial marriages, etc (wait a minute.....isn't that happening already?)

Become the president of the United States.

Answer 3

Become Prime Minister, then President of the European Council. Whilst in these posts, become completely dedicated to the idea of a world government. Then, when the time comes around, I would have the reputation of being pro-World government, and be in the position to be the first President of the World.
