Father says to your boyfriend: "Have fun with her but don't bring home any babies."

Mind you that everyone is old enough and capable of taking care of children if one should come.

  1. I'd take it as a flip but crass comment.  And I would treat it the same way - with a disparaging look of disapproval.

  2. I would take it as a humorous comment from your dad trying to mask what he is afraid of. Too bad you didn't stop at the store and pick up a doll and bring it back for your dad. Then your boyfriend could hand it to him and say "sorry, we just couldn't help ourselves". At least he didn't tell you not to come home with any puppies.

  3. Babies are expensive and don't come with instructions. Everyone who makes a baby, especially teenagers, are not capable of taking care of them without parental help. Hospital bills, and diapers are expensive! Your father is just letting your boyfriend know to keep his pants zipped where you're concerned! You should be glad he's there to tell him that, so you don't have to. If your "boyfriend" respects and likes you, he'll take the time to get to know you instead of getting in your pants.

  4. It's just a joke.  Just laugh it off and don't read too much into it.

  5. I think your dad is doing what all dads are supposed to do - looking out for his daughter.

Doesn't really matter how old you are - it's a natural dad instinct (or at least it should be).  I wouldn't be offended.

  6. Perhaps your father doesn't want any babies out of wedlock?

I'd take it to mean he thinks you guys are fooling around and no father would like that if their daughter isn't married.

  7. I believe dear old Dad is looking out for you! Even if you're old enough, that doesn't mean a thing once a little bundle of joy arrives. Take precautions, and thank your Dad!

By the way, what exactly did you mean by "everyone is old enough and capable"? I'm guessing that includes your Mom and Dad?? Forget it, you have a kid, it's YOURS, don't pass it off onto mom and dad to raise, they probably have had enough problems raising you.

  8. He was probably just joking -- BAD joke, though.

  9. Well it depends on the relationship you guys have. Is he sarcastic alot? Do you guys hit it off really well or is he kind of avoiding you. If you hear it really fast then it can mean like "take care of her, be safe and don't accidentally mess up, make sure you know what you are doing like he was saying don't get her pregnant on accident, be a man.

And if I read it slower depending on his mood again it sounds like he is a little cautious of you and he might not want to have kids in the future, maybe it will just take some time to become apart of their family. But I think it was more of the first answer, he wants him to own up and Want him to have a child with you rather than have it be on accident.

Hope this helped ^_^ gud luck!

  10. I would consider it as a joke.. to take her out.. but not get involved with her deeper unless he is sure one day he wants to marry her.. to enjoy dating her.. but to not get her pregnant but it was meant in good cheer... not as an admonishion.. I believe the guy had a sense of humor.. it also was not meant in a mean way against the girl.. he meant.. have a fun time.. treat her well.. don't get her into trouble...He probably was smart enough to know there is a thing such as ''safe s*x'' I believe he was acting alright..  it was not mean it was humorous.. and also not nasty toward his daughter.. just a sense of humor which I prefer to some other fathers.. xx xx
