How would you tell if a logo is used already?

I have a logo in mind but I;m not sure if its already in use. How would I be able to tell? I serched it on google and nothing about it showed up except user names... Any sites where yo can just type it in and it would tell you?

Do a patent or copyright check on it. If it has been used already, it should show up. If not have at it before someone else uses it.
