How would you tell your mom that you don't want to go to college and start you acting?

you sit down and tell her what it is that you want to do and you ease her fears by showing her your plan for supporting yourself while you audition for jobs.

if you're not already acting in school plays or community theater then you should be--you need to hone your craft NOW so when you leave school you can have some experience under your belt.

once you make the decision to act then you have to move out and go where the work is.

If you just sit your mom down and explain your cituation, your feelings about college and why you dont want to go she may start to understand.  of course no mother, anyway you put it, is going to completely understand why their child doesn't want to go to college especially in todays economy, BUT....You just need to explain to her your feelings.  Unless she understands your side, she'll never be able to understand you at all, and will always be mad at you for making the choices you have made.

You should just be honest with her & provide some valid reasons for your choice.  You can get valuable training & experience in college & it will look good on a resume. Many successful actors have higher education.

For some reason you fear letting your Mom down. You are an adult and would like to lead your own life. You'll not like hearing this, but your Mom has your best interest at heart. When you get older you will appreciate what your Mom is telling you. There is no reason why you cannot multi - task
