How would you warn people in the future?

If you could write a letter to someone 300 years in the future about our life now, what mistake not to make and what things to do, and also tell them about us, our mistakes and our good accomplishments, what would you say?

Don't panic at what fanatics like eco-bigots preach, but examine it carefully with good reasoning.  Research beyond their limited data.  They usually cherry-pick that to fit their claims.

Carefully avoid overpopulation.  It causes terrible wars, often genocidal ones, and regular famine.

Advance technologically so far as you can, so fast as you can.  It serves everyone immensely.  So long as overpopulation doesn't destroy the opportunity, it should provide everyone with prosperity.
