How would you word the meaning of this quote?

Here's the quote:

“Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Speak the truth, always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.”

I know the meaning of this quote, but I'm having a terrible time wording it well. The main problem being that I this meaning is supposed to be included in an essay that's only about 175 words long, and I have more discussion to include than just the quote's meaning.

Does anyone have a pretty short, but accurate, way to word the meaning of this quote?

  1. "Do the right thing"

  2. I would say the word is "magnanimous" which means altruistic, benevolent, generous, heroic etc. etc.

  3. I think it all leads to being brave. Bravey will triumph over fear pain and all the other snazzy stuff.

  4. show emotions when appropriate. be true to everyone always. and do what you think is right

  5. To be brave, humble and righteous. But maybe brave isnt the right word.. i dont know.
