  1. He or she who knows that they have enough are happy.

Instead of always wanting more material things, if one looks to those less fortunate and pays a tithe to reputable charities, there is a satisfaction in helping other people and a satisfaction in knowing appreciating what you have instead of wanting more.

It seems to me that with Yahoo! Answers, we have the opportunity to communicate with people all over the world and understand different cultures and understand that there are about 200 countries in the world and no matter what country that you live in, it helps you to be less nationalistic to understand other people and other people in other countries.

I think that the first step in becoming less country-centric is to buy a globe or a world map or a world atlas.  Or check out one at the library.

  2. If i were to do that now, i think i would be the current most naive person living and that i won't last 5secs in this world

and you see the world is full of predators and that the city is like a habitat which just rephrase how the fittest survives . Apathy vs naivety

Edit: as people were commenting and not answering, just want to say that your questions so far are the most entertaining i've seen on 1profile

  3. great question.

  4. Talking about my own (dominant) self-centred worldview, I would say that

without acquiring my own needs it would be quite difficile to help other ones. How could I give food to the others in need when my own children are in need? How could I give my love & help to the others when there is no one to love and help me?

Everything Jesus did, giving up His own self, it was possible cause of His LOVING HEART, cause of His FATHER'S SUPPORT, cause GOD.

    I would reformulate your Question:

How would someone's life change if they could simply just love?

Would you try to be a second Jesus ? giving up, in a TOTALY way, your self-centered worldview?

Having a beliefe, in a higher better power is the way which make us to help each other, to help ourselves.

  5. It has changed significantly and for the best.

    Great question. No offense taken.

It's a great feeling not to be tangled up into

myself and always worrying about ME. And

about what can be done to best serve ME. It's

liberating. Now I can live to love and assist

others. It feels good to care and to matter.

    Peace/Joy

  6. "In Truth there is Love."

That is very beautiful.  I don't believe that i have heard that statement before... but it is very turtle true.

    Thank you.

  7. Now this is a "AHA" question!!...((((smile)))

Allow me to share my experience of learning to give up my self-centered views of Life...

I used to be a depressive, anxious, fearful, shell of a human being...I was totally spiritually and emotionally bankrupt.

When my fear of the future became less than the pain of yesterday...I began to look at how much of self-made prison I had confined myself to.

I was always in search of "the next big fix"...and everything was always about me...tsk, tsk...(((sigh)))

Anywhoo, as I began to open up and reaching out to others and staying away from being so focused of my needs and wants...Oh my goodness...guess what I realized?!!!...

Everything that I was looking for I already had!!!

I had been "spinning my wheels", for nothing.

Living life on self-interest only caused all the pain I had ever experienced.

I feel love now, I see love now...It doesnt have to wrapped up in a package...Surprise, Surprise...lol

My apologies for being so long-winded with this but I know what it is to allow the ego to direct your life...not pretty that's for sure.

Excellent question, and no offense taken at all.

    Peace!

Edit: Sean's right your avatar and name ROCKS!!!
