How would your parents feel if you wanted to live with your boyfriend/girlfriend? My parents will not allow it even though they know we have had s*x and we have been together for almost 3 years and have said they would cut me off and not pay for college if I did. I'm not going to but I was just wondering if your parents are the same way or if my parents are just really old-fashioned.

Its about respect. They believe that two people shouldn't live together before marriage which is correct. If you want to move out, that means you are on your own and the money stops. You can not have it both ways. If you want your parents to provide for you then you respect their standards.

See that's the thing they are baying for your college so they have the right to say and do as they please, but yes they are being a little hard. but they are just scare that you might have a kid or forget about school. having to live with some one is hard and to go to college is hard. they just do not want  you to be more stress. they love you and are looking out for you. i would like to tell you more but then it would become a book. stay home your ok for now. good luck. hope i have helped.

I'm not a parent, but I would do EXACTLY THE SAME THING!!!!!

Living together, there is NO COMMITMENT!!!!  You can be thrown out at any time, he gets sick or dies and you have no say about anything1!!

Why not just get MARRIED??!!!!!   you've been together 3 years!!

Just get MARRIED!!!!

Be happy they love you.....some people on here can tell you stories I am sure that they WISH they were in your shoes...just to have parents who love you is like finding GOLD.....

Your parents are just worried about you what they are doing is normal its hard to see the views of your parent know I did when II was younger But when you get older have your own kids you will know how they feel and how they just had your bet interest at heart
