  1. I admit I don't have a lot of experience with boredom, but I do realize that even great brains feel bored. Graham Greene, the late prolific author of unforgettable novels, one of which was The Quiet American you may have seen as a film starring Brenden Frasier and Michael Caine, declared that he suffered boredom on a grand scale. He said that even during the Blitz in England in WW ll, as well as when he was in crossfire on the Suez Canal, he was afraid for a while, but that fear eventually gave way to boredom ... as the bombs fell and the bullets rang! His writing, he claimed was an escape from boredom. In fact, his autobiography is called Ways of Escape.

Why don't you CREATE something to escape boredom, as he did? A painting, a story, a piece of music? A new dish for supper? In any case, you can read one of Graham Greene's novels. They're not too long, and the characters are so well-developed. I haven't read the autobiography, but that might keep you occupied, too. He traveled everywhere exotic, worked as a spy, and had that keen eye that makes a writer appeal.

  2. sexual frustation.

  3. Bored. There's nothing else quite like it, but it's easily fixed. You get off your butt and do something. Anything.
