How young is too young to have s*x?

You're old enough to have s*x physically when your body has finished developing physically.  It's most important for girls, because if you have sexual penetration before you're full grown you risk damaging yourself internally permanently!

You can experiment and have fun without penetration though, and always make sure to be safe and take advantage of STD clinics and the advice that they can give you!

Emotionally is a different ball game though (s'cuse the pun) because when people have sexual relationships with one another, things can go wrong and they can get hurt emotionally.  I know that can happen at any age but teenagers specifically have a lot of hormones freaking out inside them, so that might make it harder to deal with emotionally.

Definately have s*x before marrying someone, how can you marry someone without knowing if you're sexually compatible first!?  Lovers should be able to connect on emotional, mental, and physical levels.  I think it's a good idea to know your partner as much as possible before deciding to be together forever.  And what the heck is marriage anyways, what is a piece of paper to tell you that you can have s*x with your partner?

Too young is when your body is physically incapable of performing the act. The better question is what level of maturity is necessary to have s*x.

Then you run into the problem that some are mature and knowledgeable at 12 and there are those who are still stupid and immature at 35.

This is one of those questions that will be pondered through the ages and never answered.

It's hard to say, since everybody is ready to have s*x at different ages. In my opinon, I guess anything under the age of 16 would be too young. Unlike a lot of other answerers, I don't think being able to sign legal documents or do things without your parents' consent have anything to do with it. It's about how mature you are as a person, and I personally feel that if you're under 16, you almost certainly do not have the emotional maturity required to deal with having s*x. If you're dealing with teenage love, I think the goal should be to wait until you're about 17, if you can. That's what me and my boyfriend are planning to do. :)

im not really sure for girls but i had it 2 yrs ago when i was 15 with a girl that was 22, she was on the pill and we were safe so i wasnt too worried but for girls i think that its too young when they know they cant handle the responsibility of a child if something does happen. i freak out when a girl tells me she wasnt on the pill, so im still prob too young, but once u start its hard to stop, so i suggest u wait unless ur ready for the consequences.
