what do u guys know about good food to judge? i think u should try spring rolls, and pho and bun bo hue before u judge. mayb u went to the wrong restaurant, and thats why u thought it was gross.. how can u two be so small minded??

    anyways.. back to ur question..

im a foreinger and ive lived her for 10+ years. and i find the food in vietnam very interesting and good. they are quiet tasty.

    u should try:

1/ pho bo (beef) or pho ga (chicken)

    2/ spring rolls

    3/ bun bo hue

these are one of the popular and tasty food foreigners should try. there are many other interesting foods in vietnam, but mayb it would taste interesting for u,. but after 10+ years living here, u start to get into their style of food. and ud like it more.

    hope i help.

  7. I LOVE alot of the food!  I have good friends from Vietnam and they cook for me alot. I like all the rices and the egg rolls (spicy) and do not care for the little chickens  that are in the egg.... (the unborn chickens)

  8. I have had many different Vietnamese dishes - I have lived in VN for over 4 years and traveled extensively, eating in a variety of situations, from sharing a meal with poor households to lavish dinners with provincial and ministerial officials. I have only had one dish that I dislike so much I refused to eat it after the first time (I only finished about 1/3 of my serving the 1st time). There are some other dishes that I am not  overly fond of, but I love Vietnamese food!

  17. IT IS DELICIOUS!!!!!!

I can swear that I'm not saying that because I am Vietnamese. I've eaten several kinds of food of Korea, China, Thailand, America, Mexico... and I found I love Vietnamese food the most: pho, hu tiu, bun rieu, bun bo... (those are different kinds of noodle), cha gio (spring roll), bo bia (summer roll)......

    Oh man, I'm hungry now...

  18. I love it!  Spring rolls and Pho and Seitan!

  21. I LOVE vietnamese food, but my absolute favorite was a 'salty lemonade' drink made with club soda and some sort of strange preserved??? lemon stuff and some salty mix.  It was so fabulous I drool now over my keyboard thinking of it (not alcoholic, just good stuff).  If anyone knows how to make that, I'd seriously give you 100 pts (well if I could I would, you know what I mean) :)

  22. Considering how long the French were in Vietnam, it's a tragedy Vietnamese food isn't more French.

I don't think much about Vietnamese food.

It's almost like really low-end Chinese food.

    To "Just Me":

I've lived in Asia as an expat for over 12 years and have travelled extensively throughout the region. I've been to some of the best restaurants in Hanoi and Ho Chih Minh city. Is that enough background for you? You tool?

This is about MY take on Vietnamese food. Of course I get to say what I think about it. Are you illiterate?
