  1. Davis.......I saw Davis in person when he was an up-and-coming amateur teenager and I have never seen a ringside fight by a boxer with more hand speed. Even as an inexperienced amateur teenager....it was obvious that his speed & natural talent would earn him many wins.

  2. Bramble was a strange guy but had a sturdy chin and a decent fighter too as he proved against Mancini.  Davis Jr. had great handspeed but failed to live up to his true potential.  I believe that Davis Jr. would win by using his better boxing skills and speed and capture the decision.

  3. Bramble would win.  I dont know how Howard ever made it as a boxer, being a vegetarian.   THAT just doesnt work very well.  See the way Bramble walked through the punches of Ray Mancini, with his 'locked arms' defense?

I see Howard jumping off to an early lead.  The problem is that Howard just didnt take punches very well.  When Buddy McGirt hit him with that solid right (scoring a first round KO), I thought the floor opened up and swallowed Davis, he fell so fast and hard.

Davis is a better boxer.  People forget, HE was the original Front man in the 76 games, not Sugar Ray Leonard.  The difference is that Leonard was much better suited for the pros.  Davis was a great amaetur.  Bramble would be behind on points, score a couple of knockdowns and win a close decision.

  4. bramble, despite his misleading record, might just edge this one, and as good a boxer as davis was, i don't know if he could keep it at long range all night and his motivation seemed to be a factor.
