  1. As long as there are adults who subscribe to his junior high humor, his "career" will continue, whether on pay or free radio.

  2. he seems to be doing ok...i do miss seeing the show on E!

  3. I guess to his fans very much alive . .lol . .

  4. Very much alive.  He earned over 200 million dollars last year.  I subscribed to Sirius just because I wanted to hear his show.

    Good question.

  5. He's still alive....it will be interesting to see how long though once the XM/Sirius merger goes through and the FCC decides to get their "hands" on regulating satellite radio.

  6. Not dead, but I use to listen daily, now I don't.

  7. Who?

  8. Should be dead.

  9. I would not listen if you paid me

  10. I'd guess he is fading away.  I haven't heard much of anything about him for the last few years.

  11. It's still alive but is not a presence as it was in the 1990s

More people can listen but hey .. most wanna hear him for free, not pay $12.99 a month to hear him. That's why he has to basically broadcast to 2 countries to get roughly the same audience as he would have in the North east.

He is still around but his commanding force isn't as big as it was when he ruled on broadcast radio. Cause on broadcast radio people who wanted to and didn't want to could hear him.. that's what got him where he was, cause he could tick off people who didn't like his brand of show and they could hear him flick them off.

If the Dems win the presidency, and stay in for 8 years, you may see Howard back on terrestrial radio (as one of the reasons he's on sat radio is the tightening of the values clause of the FCC decency standards under the Republicans)

  12. fading

  13. He is yesterday' news.  No one will pay to listen to his juvenile rant.

  14. He is very alive. He took a company (sirius) that had 600 thousand subscribers, and within 2 years of his arrival Sirius now has over 7 million subscribers. That seems to me that he is pretty 'alive'. Plus his contract is 500 million over 5 years. No other radio personality or actor makes close to that. That's 100 million a year, not counting the huge bonuses he also receives.

  15. mostly dead but still alives

  16. he is coasting. I don't think he will get any bigger but he is doing pretty well for himself.

  17. obviously you havent listened to his show its beter then ever and now with Howard on-demand he is more alive then he has ever been. He has 2 channels on sirius radio on just of him and 2nd with other people and specials. If you liked him b 4 then you will love him now he has his own news team just reoprting on howard news if you didnt like him b 4 then you probaly still wont but you will find something else on sat radio that you will love.
