  1. Nobody rioted after the murder of Sean Bell.  People protested, but there is a big difference between the two situations.

As for black people getting upset by others getting killed by the police, it sounds like you need a history lesson.

  2. White people save their riots for when their local sports teams win a championship.

  3. Not really....

When a extremely popular g*y activist(g*y equivilent of MLK) was murdered and the person only got 7 years, there was a huge riot by the g*y community in San Fransisco.  There was buildings broken into to and places trashed or burned. (Not trying to make fun of g*y people, have g*y friends & relatives)

Riots based on high profile crimes when a community feels that the person commiting the crime doesn't recieve a "fair" punishment because they get off lightly or not get in trouble at all.

Riots can occur with any race, or group of people.

  4. Might be related to slavery and the injustices that blacks in America faced in the past to a large degree and in the present to a smaller degree?

What, you think just because slaves were set free and told "good frickin luck with your lives!" everything turned out good?

And if you say, "well that was in the past," that would be true, but then again everything bad that happened is technically in the past....so does that mean nothing is bad once it is finished?

  5. How often do you read about an innocent white man being gunned down by police officers?  The majority of 'mistakes' (for lack of a better word) involve black men and people often feel anger at what is perceived as different treatment by police officers - that if Sean had been white, police would not have reacted in the same manner.
