  1. No.1 yep its tight....loosen up the motor mounts and on the side just  back off the bolts till you can get a board under it and lift it up a bit.

When you take the starter off, check it on a good battery.  If it won't spin or just vibrates,   Put it in your oven,  crack the oven door and set it on 120 degrees...and leave it for a hour or so.

Then try it again on a good battery and it should  run like new.

If its really fried, you can just replace the brushes and with some fine sand paper, spin the armature and clean up the copper brush contact area. Pull off the end plate and keeping it all together have a look.....  At any auto parts dealer who sells "Standard" brand brushes will cross reference the brushes you have in 5 minutes and sell you another set for about $3 bucks....

Replace the new brushes and slip on the end cap and long screws carefully and you will have a new "Starter."

Or you can find a electrical shop that rebuilds starters/ alt,  and they will rebuild yours for about $65 bucks  with a year warranter.

Or $165 will buy you a new one from any Evenrude dealer.

As yet I have never seen a bad "SeeDoo" starter, most just get wet and need baking out and resealing.

So there are some Ideas to chew on, dude....

I would personally stick it in a oven for a couple of hours....

when it runs like new.....you can send me the $65 bucks if you just feel you need to spend the money!

See doo's are a h**l-of-a-piece of equipment....and really first class stuff.  Not much goes wrong with them.
