  1. yes you can use washing detergent for washing dishes...

  2. i've used a bit of laundry detergent as well as shampoo when i ran out of dishwashing liquid.  a little goes a long way, so don't use too much.  and this is only if you are wanting to do your dishes by hand.  i agree with the other answerers that if you are using a dishwasher, NOT to use laundry soap, and just go out and buy what you need.

  3. um dish soap is like $1.99

  4. Yeah it's fine... I've done that before just make sure you rinse the soap off well.  I did a sink full did a normal rinse and later that day grabed a cup and it taste like soap...

  5. I would think soap is soap....but definitely DO NOT use it in a dishwasher!

  6. yes it is safe but don't use soap dish in the washer you will never get rid of the suds.

  7. Are you doing the dishes in a dishwasher? If so, STOP!!! Don't put any other soap in dishwashers but dishwasher soap! You'll have a river of bubbles in your kitchen!! Trust me! I've been there! If you're doing them by hand and you want to use laundry liquid, just use a little bit with hot water. If you want, you can use shampoo too, but ONLY if you're washing them by hand!! Good luck!
