I have a 4 yr old mare who's green broke. She's very sweet with excellent bloodlines. She's registered and stands about 14'2. She's got great potential. I would finish breaking her myself but my husband is in the miliary and recently got stationed in Alaska.

how much do you think she's worth?

  1. $250-$400

A small green broke mare...you will be lucky if you can give her away.  If she has great color you can double the above price, but bloodlines won't matter unless she is an own daughter of someone spectacular.  Potential does not matter in today's horse economy - every horse has potential and with the halt of slaughter there are roughly 100,000 more potentially good horses a year for your mare to compete with.

  2. you may want to put state/pictures up... economics change within regions. also what she may excell in..

  3. I would say 950.

  4. is she a breeding stock or a regular paint?

nobody really wants anything under 15 hands anymore. if she's 14.2.. her bloodlines can't be that good. the only reason someone would want a 14.2 hand horse would be to either go on trails or to give to a kid. if she's only green broke, well.. kids can't ride her. and she could be skittish on a trail ride.

so i would say about $1,500 at the most.

  5. i don't know because i cant see a pic but u can give her to me if you cant take her to Alaska with you

probably not alot because she is only green broke, ask a trainer

  6. Sorry to say but as a green broke horse maybe $500.  More if she is out of high priced roping stock (parents not grand parents) or out of quality show stock.

I am sorry, its not fair but horse prices really are that low.

  7. 1000

  8. With today's market and your location I'd say at most $1000.

  9. hmm about 1,000$

maybe more or less depending onthe area you live in

bucksins, and palomino's, tend to sell for more $

  10. It's hard to say without pics but with the market and economy right now I wouldn't say a whole lot. Even if she's a nice horse with lots of potential, her lack of training is going to bring her price way down. I would say maybe $500-$1000 just with the little info that I have. Is there no way you can take her with you? I come from a military family and we board our horses on post. I know we have a family that moved their two horses from Alaska to Georgia and another that flew their pony from Hawaii to Georgia so it is possible. I would look at all other options first because the horse market is in a really bad state right now and I would just be concerned about what would happen to them in the future. Good luck.

  11. Not much since she isn't trained. I would say no more than $500 considering her level of training.

  12. ummmm....if she has fantastic bloodlines then around $1000 to $1500 since she's green broke, but you'll probably have a hard time findin a buyer, since the horse market is down so low

  13. I just watched horses at a sale barn with excellent breeding and completely broke go through for $375 and less, that was with their papers.

I hope you live in a better part of the country because green broke horses went through for $100 to $150 and those went to the meat man. That was also with papers.

Not trying to be harsh...I just hope you take the time to sell her to a good home.
