What good is the skill dressage? There are no competitions for it so why do they have it? Also, which breed is the best to have for a breeding farm? Thanks a bunch!

  1. LOL !!! Have a read of the link :D

  2. Dressage is an excellent sport.  You learn skills that can be carried over in any other equestrian sport.  There are competitions for dressage, lots of them. In fact, dressage is an Olympic sport.  In dressage you can compete at all levels and as you improve you can compete in progressively more difficult tests.

What breed? It depends on where your expertise is. If you don't know what breed you love and want to work to improve, you may not be ready for a breeding farm.

  3. I know nothing about skill dressage, but i ride western all the time. but to me, either arabian horses because they seem to have such grace and power. or throughbred, because they r really muscular and look really majestic in their loping. they have great temperments. and r the best to hang around. and r soooo sweet! i hope this helps u!!!

  4. I play this game too, as well as actually riding dressage.  Dressage is the French word for training and was originally used for military purposes.  Dressage can be used in different disciplines of riding.  In dressage, you show how the horse is under your control and can do great big movements with what seems to be the rider doing nothing.  Try looking up dressage on youtube, you can see how butiful the sport really is.  In Howrse (it actually got me a little upset that they didn't have competitons for it) dressage helps with all the other skills (like jumping, and does in real life too).  I have a hanovarian and a throughbred stud at my farm.  I don't know what breed you want in preticular, my throughbred makes most of the money, he has never gotten below a 3rd place in a race.

  5. 1. It actually improves the horses stamina when you train in dressage.

    2. It all depends on your taste. There is no "best" breed :)
