Hows a good way to get a stump out of the ground?

ok i wuz thinkin like a pipe bomb or a sparkler bomb but is that enuf power?

you could try to burn the stump so that its level with the ground or rent a stump grinder

drill 1" holes in the top of the stump about 8" deep. then drill holes in the side slanted down to meet the bottom of the first hole. fill the holes with heating oil or kerosene and let it soak in for a week. fill them once more and wait another week.

the stump should be soaked through after two weeks. you may need to cover it up if its going o rain. fill them up one more time and light it on fire. the slanted holes are for air flow, if they do not meet the straight down holes it won't burn well. keep a fire extinguisher nearby and good luck

That'll do it.  Well, 2 or 3 pipes.  Real way is with a stumper, give it a good run, then blow it up!  The old way doesn't work anymore, who has time?  Good luck bud!

Fast way:  Rent a stump grinder

Slow way:  Rock salt.

Drill a hole in the center of the stump and fill it with salt. It takes a little while but eventually rots it down to dust. If you want it to rot underground, dig around the stump so you can get the saw down low on the stump then just cover it up.
