  1. It's at the end of the rainy season.  The later in October the better.  Personally, December to February is the best.

  2. I agree with the first answerer that December to February are the best months to go to Baguio. Although generally speaking, it's nice to go to Baguio all year round, those particular months are when the air is really cool in Baguio and you get to feel the charm and ambience that is unique to Baguio. And if you go there in February, you'll get to see the Flower Festival which is called Panagbenga. There are lots of things to see and do in Baguio, so a vacation there is sure to be very nice.

  3. The rains are sporadic on the months of September and October. The temperature on those months are 61 F at its lowest - 75 F at its highest. During the day, you are fine with light clothings but temperature drops during night time so a jacket is a must.

January & February are the best months to visit in my opinion, the weather is chilly but dry. February is the festive month with the Panagbenga (Flower Blossoming) Festival but it could be really crowded with local and foreign tourists, bus terminals are jam packed and hotels are all booked.

  4. September is "Indian Summer" and there is typically an interlude from the rains. Yet there is no guarantee that there will absolutely be no rain. But that, to me, is not a problem.

I have been to Baguio countless times even before I set up my vacation place there. I have been up in Baguio through all the seasons, and it is wonderful when there is rain (not a typhoon). We in fact walk in the rain with our umbrellas. And raincoats.

Imagine walking in thick fog, while drizzling. That is an experience that is worth remembering. My brothers and I have photos of ourselves in ponchos, sweaters and umbrellas while walking around Burnham Park, and only we knew it was taken in there because the thick fog makes it impossible to see from the photo whereshot was taken!

It is also nice to stroll down Session Road when there's a bit of rain, and buy grilled corn on the cob from sidewalk vendors. And munch on the hot, fresh-from-the-charcoal corn while walking.

And others might find it ridiculous, but we even buy some ice cream  and l**k on them while going around - - - and feel even colder.

Most of all, I Baguio at this time has a lower migrant population. It feels like the Baguio of old, without the horde of people from Manila and nearby towns all trooping to this magnificent place in "better days".

If I happen to be there when you visit, I could serve you some "salabat" (ginger brew) in my house, to comfort you from the cold. Please email me if you want to drop by.

    Enjoy Baguio!
