  1. all these answers and perhaps one that's in any position to comment.

The truth? Pharmacy ain't bad. I've done it for 22 years......pharmacist for 19.

  2. My Mom's a pharmacist. It's great money, but it's pretty easy. In her opinion, retail is pretty boring but good money. She recently switched into a hospital and works in the IV floor for awhile. You basically just check, fill, and create prescriptions and sometimes prescribe them. Not too much to it. Just a lot of schooling.

  3. You know your not dispensable(joke)

  4. i did two weeks work experience in boots pharmacy.

i spent more time stacking shelves and keeping out of the pharmacists way but from what i saw they do a lot of work dealing with customers, using the computer and sorting the medicines. You also get a plaque saying that you're fully qualified.

You might also find yourself working on the tills for a small bit of time.

I've heard the money's quite good. When i was there i met about 4 different pharmacists because the permanent one was on holiday. They all seemed to enjoy their job.

  5. I would say really boring!

  6. They are known as glorified cashiers - that's why they have the highest suicide rate. Also 6 years of schooling.
