  1. The problem with spraying is that most of the paint ends up as overspray. No matter what you put behind the fence it will get a lot of pain and very little with go onto the fence itelf. The easiest is a roller with very long nap (about a half inch long like sheep skin). When you roll that on the nap goes through and covers both sides of the wire. Nothing is lost and the fence get quickly covered,

  2. Heavy roller or spraying is best. Don't do it the way my mother-in-law did years ago. Believe it or not, she used a small brush and painted every last little wire all around. It took her about three months, spending 8 to 10 hours a day.

Needless to say, most people don't have that kind of patience. Spraying is the fastest, but like one person said, most of it will be wasted. I'd probably go with the thick roller.

  3. Pick up a Wagner Power Sprayer. It will save you hours of time!

  4. Power sprayer. What I did was get a big piece of cardboard, like a big screen TV box. I opened it up and put it up behind the fence to help stop overspray and cut down the wind. Make sure you do it on a very calm day or you could have a mess! Move the cardboard along as you go.

  5. I would say spraying would work the best, I would definitely protect with a tarp or cardboard behind it for over spraying, but if you could get your hands on engine/car or appliance paint, it would last longer than your average spray paint or acrylic...just a suggestion! Good luck!

  6. my guess spraypaint

  7. Spray paint, would be my guess.

  8. with a roller
