Me and my friends dad made a batch of beer today, about 5 gallons, went we went to the store they didn't have alot of ingredients so we couldn't go by the original weizenbeir recipe and we just mixed and matched.

we used saaz hops for a bittering and finisher and plain wheat and some light American malted barley syrup. We went heavy on the malt and short on hops with alot of wheat.

I don't know much about making beer but he said it'd be good, what do you guys think about it?

  1. Sounds great, doesn't it? Probably better then much of the plonk.

I'd add more hops, but them I'm a big IPA fan!

  2. This is a bit more traditional for a homebrew wheat. Saaz hop is not used so much for wheat beers. But you should have a nice beer. We have made them a lot and enjoy brewing it.
