Hp S-Video help.?

I have an svideo output on my HP laptop, and Im trying to get it to work on my TV. My tv doesnt have an svideo so im using an RF modulator, which has an s-video on it. But when I go from the pc to the modulator to the tv is doesnt work? Ive used the modulator for the cable box, the xbox 360 and the wii and it works for those but why not the laptop? Ive checked for loose conections, ive checked for bad cables, and everything is powerd on so why wont it work? Do I have to enable it by doing something in my computer? I have an HP Pavillion 6810 laptop.

Also can I use the S-video as a tv tuner so I can watch tv on my pc.

S-video can only carry standerd def. So make sure the resolution of your Video card is no more than 480i

You may need to select (fn) F4 or something similar to enable video out from your lap-top.
