Hp ipaq windows mobile 2005?

i have hp ipaq with windows mobile 2005 but the problem is there's no backup battery so each time i restart the phone all my stuff gone.

how can i make the backup battery work again?

It most likely has a replaceable battery (like a watch battery).

Take out the main battery and should be able to see it - I can't give you more information without knowing the iPAQ model you're using.
