Hp printer 5420 photosmart

Question

i used a non hp printer cartridge and now my printer won't work at all. it said there was an error because it wasn't an hp cartridge and now it says the printer is offline and i can't get it back on line. the cartridge is one of those recycled ones and it is the same kind of cartridge, both the hp and this one are 93's.
