Chinese Taipei’s talented player Hsu Jen Hao proved his elevated craft and won Men’s Singles title after defeating Ukraine’s Dmytro Zavadsky in the title match of 36th Yonex Polish International 2012 on Sunday, March 25, in Poland.
The World Number 40 Jen Hao, who was the fourth seed in Men’s Singles draw of Polish International, showed his supremacy in the arena and outplayed Zavadsky without facing much trouble.
The fifth seed Zavadsky, who is currently World Number 45, could not match the speed and perfection of his opponent and lost the match in 51 minutes without taking even a single set.
In the first set, both men showed their impressive skills as they played positive and fast badminton and progressed with an equal pace on the score board.
Jen Hao was relying on his powerful smashes while Zavadsky played mixed game as he executed drives and occasional smashes.
Until the one-minute break in the first game, Jen Hao was slightly ahead of his Ukrainian opponent by reaching at 11-9.
After the break, Zavadsky geared up his speed at net but failed to dominate the pace of rallies as his opponent was quicker in taking the bird early at net.
On the other hand, Jen Hao remained positive and focused in the court and managed to take the opening set with a four-point margin of 21-17.
In the second set, the opening rallies were interesting when both men played positive and composed badminton and reached at 2-2.
However, at this stage, Jen Hao changed his tactics and targeted the side lines of his rival’s court. His smashes landed in the gaps and he scored 9 consecutive points to set up an incredible lead of 11-2 until the break.
After the interval, Zavadsky increased his speed but for no good as his opponent was not in a mood to slow down the pace of rallies.
Jen Hao was in complete control of the pace and bagged the second set with an impressive margin of 21-10.
Jen Hao won this 51-minute title match in straight games with a comprehensive 21-17 and 21-10 score on the board.
