Htr shuts off after awhile and won't come back on...

it's totally electric w/thermostat. After it runs for up to 20 min it shuts off. The motor is extremely warm. After everything cools down, it repeats the cycle. Please help?

I have an ikder Reddy Heater 50,000 BTU, it runs for about ten minutes and then starts to sputter. After it sputters a few times it kicks the reset out.
