The un-seeded Yun, who is currently World Number 21 in Men’s Singles ranking, played with precision and confidence and remained successful in grabbing victory against his talented Taipei rival in just 36 minutes.
Yun was in terrific form as his fast and smooth movement in all areas of the court helped him to take the bird early from all areas and he overpowered Tien Chen in straight games with a decent margin by taking 36 minutes.

However, Tien Chen also showed his brilliance in opening rallies but he failed to maintain his positive run and eventually started to commit errors.
Spirited Yun, in the meanwhile, remained focused on court and managed a huge 11-6 until the mid-game interval.
After the 60-second break, Yun could not maintain his supremacy on court as he lost his focus which helped Tien Chen to make the score levelled at 15-15.
Nevertheless, the Hong Kong shuttler controlled the affairs in time and managed to bag the opening set with a 21-19 score on board.
In the second game, Yun did not repeat his mistakes in opening half as he played positive badminton and took an 11-7 lead until the mid-game interval.
