Colosseum, Tokyo, Japan, US Open doubles Champions’ Huber/ Raymond needed just sixty two minutes to make it past Taipei Yung-Jan and German Goerges, winning 6-3, 6-2 into the semi finals.
Huber/ Raymond decided to serve first in the first round of the match, after winning the service toss. They got off to a great start as they were easily able to hold serve in the first game and were expertly able to place themselves
on the scoreboard at 1-0. By utilizing the break-serve-break method they not only broke their adversaries in their first service game but also in the fourth game to reel off a 4-0 score.
At the end of the fifth game, it was only the American team to be found on the scoreboard as they had professionally managed to hold serve and led the score with a 5-0. Yung-Jan/ Goerges finally made an appearance in the sixth
game by winning on their serve for the first time but it was too late to make a comeback. Even though, they broke Huber/ Raymond in the seventh game, they were only able to reduce the deficit to 2-5, and then 3-5 by holding serve in the eighth game.
By the end of the eighth game, the American pair was leading with 5-3 and was now looking to hold serve to achieve the opening set. As the top seeded team smashed an ace at 40-30, they clogged the opening set by benefitting from
five more points than the Taipei/ German pair in the total points won during the set.
Opting to serve for the second set was Yung-Jan/ Goerges and this time they held serve in the first game to roll the scoreboard at 1-0. During the second game they then repeated history by breaking their adversaries for the first
time and took a mini lead of 2-0. However, they unable to capitalize on the mini break as in the third game Huber and Raymond broke back to decrease the deficit to 2-1. By the end of the fourth game they held serve to equalize the score at 2-2.

ace at 40-30, winning six games in a row to close the set and the match.
