Prior to Stade de Reims’ upcoming fixture against Girondins de Bordeaux, Fournier stated that he wants his players to give their best as he seeks on aiming to win against a tired side.

Hubert Fournier, Stade de Reims’, coach has expressed his desire of being able to secure a victory against Girondins de Bordeaux, who are an exhausted side following the recent pile of fixtures. The Frenchman has urged his players to push on to secure a
victory against Bordeaux-based club.
The Reims-based club has not been able to win since October, and the French side has been performing poorly of late. Fournier’s men were only able to secure 2 points from their last 7 games, which goes on to describe the extent of their poor form.
On the other hand, Les Girondins are a side that are determined to go back to winning ways, following their inability to secure a win in their last two games. The French outfit secured a victory against Newcastle United, in the Europa League. And that provides
them the necessary confidence to perform well in the Ligue 1.
Fournier, however, believes that the secret to defeat a side like Bordeaux lies in the passion and determination by the players. And that’s what the coach intends to do. The Frenchman wants to take full advantage of his side's fitness and hoped that FCGB
would be a tired side following their recent fixtures, he said:
"We will have to play at 100% of our ability and hope that Bordeaux are tired in this game due to the number of matches they have had."
The 45-year-old wants Stade de Reims to get rid of their poor form, and expects that the players would perform better. The coach was optimist, but acknowledged the fact that the former French champions would be a difficult side to play against. The former
defender said:
“We will approach this game with passion, up against formidable opponents who excel in Ligue 1, but also on the European scene.”
Stade de Reims appear eager to secure a win, as they host Bordeaux at the Stade Auguste Delaune, on the 9th December, 2012.
