Hubert Paczek ousts Dmytro Katsaruba in the qualifying round of 36th Yonex Polish International 2012
Poland’s Hubert Paczek finds a perfect start as he wins his opening match against Ukraine’s Dmytro Katsaruba in Men’s Singles qualifying round of 36th Yonex Polish International 2012 in Poland, on Thursday, March 22.
The in-form Hubert put up wonderful show of attacking game and remained successful in beating Dmytro in a thrilling three-set fight.
On the other hand, Dmytro played well but not enough to escape defeat from the hands of his Polish opponent.
Hubert started his campaign in a dominating manner as he played with wonderful control and took an early lead with a considerable ease.
He did not face any trouble from his Ukrainian opponent in the opening half of first game and remained successful in taking an impressive lead until the break.
After the interval, the local shuttler continued his remarkable run in the match as he did not let his opponent to find a good flow.
The Polish man was in full swing in the first game and easily won it with an incredible 21-7 score on the board.
In the second game, Dmytro played better badminton and matched the speed of his local opponent. The score was quite close in the opening half of second game. No one could take comfortable lead until the interval.
After the break, Hubert tried to take lead but he failed to overpower his opponent this time as Dmytro was in complete control. The Polish remained struggling and lost the game with a narrow margin of 19-21.
In the deciding set, Hubert changed his tactics and started to dominate the pace of rallies from the opening points. He was focused in the game this time and managed a comfortable lead until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Hubert continued his impressive run in the game and did not let his opponent to reduce the deficit at any stage of the game.
The Polish remained on track in the second set and managed to win it with an impressive margin of 21-13.
Hubert won this Men’s Singles qualifying-round contest with an interesting 21-7, 19-21 and 21-13 score on the board.
