Hudson Bay Ccompany reveals Olympic clothing line for Canada
The Hudson Bay Company has recently revealed its clothing line for the Canadian athletes that will be heading for the Olympic Games in London next year.
There are a total of 320 Canadian athletes that will be wearing the designs of the Hudson Bay Company. Along with the athletes, there are a total of 250 support staff who will also be carrying the wear of the company.
The theme by the clothing company depicts Canadian wildlife, topography as well as sports. The shirts that the Canadian delegates will be wearing are all of traditional Maple Leaf.
The following introduction was made by the chief marketing officer of the Hudson Bay Company, Derek Kent, at the event in which it introduced the new clothing line for the Canadian Olympic athletes: “Canadian Olympic outfits are traditionally the envy of
the world, and are a real source of pride for our athletes. They are a symbol of exploration, adventure and accomplishment.”
The introduction of the clothing line was done about a week after the HBC got the honour of becoming the national partner with the London mission. At the introduction, the HBC made public its kit for the Canadian athletes that comprises of a total of 29
pieces that include jackets, pants, casual clothing as well as accessories. The colors that have been chosen by the HBC represent the nation of the athletes that would be wearing them. The 29 piece kit comes in vibrant red and green that are contrasted with
the presence of white, black as well as grey.
Apart from the colours, the designs include images of the animals that are commonly found on Canada. These include deer, owl and beavers, to name a few. In order to represent nature, the HBC has made use of the maple leaves as well as the coniferous trees.
The Olympics Games will be taking place in the capital of England for the third time next year. After having hosted the Games in 2012, London will become the first ever city to have welcomed the Olympic Games for three times.
