  1. Don't worry just eats dead things wont hurt you.

  2. It's probably a turkey vulture which means it's pretty big and can be intimidating looking, but they are harmless and much more afraid of you then you are of it.

Some vultures have an excellent and keen sense of smell, and adore road kill and stinky things so if you have any garbage laying around your home that could be death-like keep it covered as the smell could be attracting them.

He'll go away on his own, and they're not super smart..

no worries, he's not out to get you!

    :)

  3. Vultures have no interest in harming you..they eat dead things...don't worry about it. Probably a Turkey Vulture:

  4. call animal control to tag it and take it to another area.

  5. May I suggest a Turkey Vulture.

Maybe a Teratorn. There have been sightings of them in San Antonio and such.

  6. What do you need help with scareing it away?

If so any loud noise like banging a metal trashcan lid etc will scare it away.

  7. Is anyone in your family dying?

  8. Sounds like you had a bad dream.  Vultures are large birds but they don't get that big.  It's highly unlikely that the bird was in a residential area but stranger things have happened.  You don't live near a zoo do you? There is nothing to fear from a vulture unless you're trying to take his dead carrion away from him.  I know the price of meat is high these days, but if you get it from a store, you may get a little better quality of meat.

  9. What about a condor ?  They have been breeding them to rebuild the population.  They are very big.  I saw some in San Diego zoo, if I saw one in the back garden I'd be spooked too.

  10. what Birdgirl said.

  11. get yourself a nice shotgun and have thanksgiving early lol but take a pic first
