All my life I've ridden a bus to school, this is my second year in high school and there telling me that with new kids coming you have to live 1.5 miles from school and i live 1.35. My cousin told me It's illegal to make me walk because of the busy avenue I would have cross. No I cant get a ride to school so that's out of the question. Is there anything I can say or do to make them give me a bus. I will protest, shred papers, whatever it takes just help me out.

  1. youre growing up and that requires you to take on some more responsiblity like finding a way to school...walking 1.35 miles never hurt anyone it will probably help you wake up in the morning....or you can try carpooling with friends or ride a bike, rollerblade, theres more than one way to get to school if your not lazy

  2. This is how it is at my school and every school I've ever seen.  I'm sure your making too big of a deal out of this.

There is nothing illegal about them making you walk, because it's not dangerous.  There are these things called crosswalks after all.

It's not your school's responsibility to make sure you get to school safely, that's you and your parent's responsibility.  You can try making a fuss, but they'll probably say no because if they let you break the rule then they'll have to let everyone else too.

    Suck it up kid.
