It looked like a cricket..but it was fat and pale... It was huge.. when I squashed it, it had so much juice inside it. I don't know what it was...

What was it? I wish I had a camera to take a picture.. but it's broken... anyway... anyone have any idea what I'm talking about??

I feel bad for squashing it.. but it scared me.. it was probably harmless. Poor guy :o(

  2. Mole crickets are a problem in lawns here in Florida. If you have a nice lawn you may want to get some bait or spray. They love too munch on "centipede" grass. When it gets dark tonight go outside and sit for a few minutes and listen, they have a distinctive sound, if you hear a bunch of them you should definitely treat for them. The problem is they eat the roots so it's hard too see the damage they have done until it's to late. Sorry for the ramble, coffee is kicking in !

  3. I thought it sounded like a cockroach, maybe you don't have those.

  4. It sounds like a Jerusalem Cricket or a Mole Cricket. (They're both harmless).
