  1. The Yankees are on a roll and the Red Sox are playing mediocre at best.  My predictions are:

    Game 1 - Red Sox

    Game 2 - Yankees

    Game 3 - Yankees

  2. They win games 2 and 3 with Ponson having outpitch Lester. Wakefield will struggle

  3. Sox take games 1 and 2  but lose 3rd game

  4. Redsox win tonight and Sunday Night. The Fens should have a playoff atmosphere tonight. Papi back in the line up. Damon back in the Line up. All the history. The tradition. Pride. The Rivalry. And First place looming on the horizon.

  5. i say sweep happens by either team ,but the Yankees have been on a surge and the Sox have good pitching,so im with the sox,but with baseball you never Know??Also why is every1 saying sox 1&3 wakefield is pretty good latley so go away!LOL

  6. yanks will win first two and game 3 belongs to boston. but wiht ponson luck we might sweep it, but then again Boston have a great record at home. But is the yankees baby, .

    Lets goooooo yanks.

  7. Yankees- Good form, 6 games winning-streak

Red sox- Pretty good form, 3 games winning-streak

    Game 1 - Red sox

    Game 2 and 3 - Yankees

  8. Game 1 is going to be fun to watch

but the yankees will take 2/3

  9. sox take 1 & 3 games...going to be fun to watch..

  10. Yankees win Game 1 (Sox bullpen blows Beckett's lead)

Red Sox win Game 2 (Wakefield will get plenty of run support)

Red Sox win Game 3 (Lester pitches 8 shut-out innings, Ortiz homers)

  11. I'd have to say the Yankees, just because they seem to have more momentum and confidence going into the series. The Sox haven't been playing well lately...

  12. If I had to pick an outcome, I'd say sox win games 1 and 3 because of pitching. Yankees take game 2.

Game 1 - Josh Beckett vs Joba Chamberlain - Beckett always steps up in big games (Yankee fans know this first hand) and I don't think Chamberlain will pitch bad, just won't go deep into the game. Also, Beckett has already beaten the Yankees 3 times this season alone.

Game 2 - Andy Pettite vs Tim Wakefield - Pettite seems to pitch well against Boston so I think the Yankees get to Wake in the 6th or 7th inning to pull away with a win.

Game 3 - Jon Lester vs Sidney Ponson - Lester has been lights out lately, even against the Yankees in the Bronx a few weeks back. I see the Sox jumping out early and taking the game and series.
