  1. Do it. After the All-Star game Dan hasn't been doing so well and he already has 100 strikeouts on the season. If you have Chase Utley, who could win MVP this season, put him in instead. Cole Hamels will give you a solid starter you can count on and get you 10-15 wins by the end of the season. I could see Uggla with 150+ strikeouts by the end of the season.

  2. I'd do it. It's hard to tell without looking at the rest of your roster, and knowing what type of league you're in, but in terms of straight value, getting Hamels is a major plus.

  3. Stop and Think. Why Hamels. You should be able to offer Uggla to almost anyone and get the best pitcher. Why not offer him up first for a stud pitcher known for a great 2nd half like Santana before you accept the trade. You could probably get Sabathia or Harden and another player for him if you offer a chump with him.

  4. In a heart beat. Especially if you have Utley already.

  5. If you are using Uggla for a Utility position, don't do it, but if you need pitching, then Cole Hamels is an excelent pitcher, then you would want to do it.

  6. I would do the trade if your not starting both Utley and Uggla. If you can start them both I would not do the trade. There are allot of pitchers that have just moved into their teams rotation. I would checkout your free agent list and pickup someone such as Sean Gallagher he may not get you allot of wins but he will get you strikeouts. A few other pitchers would be Clayton Kershaw which was just called up from Triple A or Chris Volstad.

  7. well if you need 2 2b on your team.. hmm.  still hamels is better
