Me, I'm a Matt Hughes fan, I hope he gets another chance to fight whomever he wants, the man is a warrior.  His strength and determination in the face of very skilled opponents are a testimony to his courage.

Im going with Matt Hughes because I dont think that he'll just stand and trade shots with Alves i think that he'll use his wrestling and takedowns to try to wear him down and I think that he'll eventually either win by decision or stoppage in the 3rd round. Hughes is a little too experienced for Alves, if he doesnt get caught in the 1st round then I think Hughes will win, people are saying he's washed up but hes only lost 2 times in the last 5 years to GSP.

Hughes will win even giving up four pounds . What a joke of

a UFC card this turned out to be, first were supposed to pay

for a non title main event between Hughes and Alves then

Alves doesnt even make weight, even if Alves wins everyone

will say it doesnt matter because he didnt make weight. I've

seen way better UFC cards free on Spike tv.

Alves.  Hughes is washed up.  Maybe he should sign with Affliction cause he is never going to beat GSP.

I have Alves.  Although Hughes is a beast, his ultimate weakness is a striker with takedown defense.  I just think Alves will have his number beating him the same way GSP did.  I would love to be wrong here, and hopefully I am so Hughes can get ahold of Serra for a contention match and beat him like he should have beaten him when Serra got vaginitis and had to let GSP fight for him.  Serra may have had a legimate injury, I don't like him, so I don't care.  He could have been parilyzed and I would call it vaginitis.

I have Hughes in this fight. This is Alves first main event, and alot is on the line in this fight. I think that will make him tentative, and in order to defeat Matt Hughes you have to be aggressive. Matt Hughes wins by TKO in the second.

Alves.  Matt Hughes is not as good.  I think GSP took something from that boy.  Alves striking is way better.  Hughes is not a stiker.  He's just a strong wrestler type.

Alves. Hughes is on his way to retirement. Even he recently admitted that he is not  going to be a worthy fighter much longer.  I think hes done.
