Norwich City manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton is relishing his return to St. James’ Park ahead of this Sunday’s game against Newcastle United.
The manager is going to return to Tyneside for the first time since his dismissal as Newcastle manager in December 2010, and is hoping to seal all three points.
Hughton had been appointed as Toon boss following their relegation from the Premier League. The manager was however a big success at the club, guiding them to the Coca-Cola Championship and immediate promotion back into the English top flight.
No one had expected Newcastle to bounce back so quickly. The club had an impressive season in the league under Hughton, managing the famous 4-4 draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and thrashing local rivals Sunderland in a 4-1 score line.
However, despite this, Hughton was sacked in December in a surprise move. This decision by the Newcastle board did not sit well with the supporters, who saw the likes of Joey Barton and skipper Kevin Nolan also leave the club.
Hughton was succeeded by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423, Demba
Ba and Papiss Demba Cisse to the squad.
Speaking ahead of the game, Pardew had been full of praise for his managerial counterpart, and said that he is confident Hughton will achieve success with Norwich City. The manager also hoped that his fans will give a warm reception to the former Toon boss.
Hughton said that he is confident of his team’s chances considering their recent form in the league and is targeting all three points. He also insisted that there is no bitterness over his sacking, and that he is looking forward to the trip to Tyneside.
“There are still a lot of staff and players there from my time. I shall look forward to going back, but more so if we are able to give a good account of ourselves,” Hughton told reporters.

"I was there at Newcastle for three years, and the supporters were always excellent towards me. It’s one that on a personal note I am looking forward to, but it’s more about our performance.”

"We are conscious that we need to score goals to win games, and I can’t fault the endeavours of the players in the last three games. But its goals that win matches, and we need to start putting a few more in now."
